To participate in the collective exhibition

The show will take place from the 4th of September to the 15th of October of 2009
At the Galeria de la Ciudad

Regulations

The artists can participate in painting, drawing, sculpture, graphic art and photography.
They must summit at least 3 pieces - and no more than 5 - for the show; the artwork must be made between 2008-2009. The pieces must be ready for hanging, and may not be larger than 48” x 48”, including the frame or any material with which the piece is displayed. In the case of sculpture, each piece may not surpass the 48” x 24” x 24” (height, width and thickness), and 110 pounds of weight, including the display platform.

All the pieces must have an identification card attached with the following data:
Author, name of the piece, media & materials used, measurements (in inches), date, price, and category of art.

The artists must summit a curriculum no longer than 2 letter pages, written in Arial at 12 points, double space, and may also include their address, phone and e-mail.

The artwork delivery will be held at the Galeria de la Ciudad (ICBC headquarters), located at 1209 Alvaro Obregon Avenue, between D & E Streets, in the Colonia Nueva in Mexicali, and will be open from the publication of this call, until: July 31st, Hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 3:00 and 5:00 to 8:00, Saturday from 9:00 to 1:00 p.m., (in the summer months from 8:00 to 5:00)
The institution will not receive pieces that are not well identified, pieces, which exceed the stated measurements, or those pieces, which because of their physical composition will be endangered when transported, moved or shown.

The curation of the show will be made by personnel of the Department of Visual Arts of ICBC, in collaboration with an Art specialist of the region, which will select the artwork (60 pieces) that will be part of the collective show,

The collective show Imperial Valley Here will be inaugurated at the Galeria de la Ciudad on September 4, at 8:00 p.m. And the artists that will be part of the show will receive a letter of participation.

The pieces that are not selected for the show must be picked up September 5 to October 5 of 2009. The artwork selected for the show can be picked up October 15 to November 15 of 2009. Any pieces that are not picked up by the appropriate date will be held as property of ICBC collection, which will exercise the right to use them as they consider.
